Barton Springs Software is looking for experienced Cocoa developers for full-time work on next-generation Mac desktop applications. We have several positions open so if you have professional Cocoa experience under your belt, we would like to hear from you.

Basic Requirements:

• Extensive experience using the Macintosh platform
• Several years experience coding with Cocoa on Mac OS X, at least one year professionally
• Some familiarity with other programming languages such as C, C++, and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or PHP

Scale-tippers:

• Experience with coding to network protocols is a very strong plus
• Good familiarity with Mac UI design concepts (intuitiveness and cleanliness of design) is a strong plus
• Experience creating custom views and controls in Cocoa
• Experience with coding or designing shipping Mac OS X applications is a strong plus
• Experience with new features added to AppKit in Leopard

BSS has completed work on the first beta release of Photonic, a Flickr desktop client for Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard”. Users can download the product and sign up for the beta mailing list at photonicapp.com.

Licenses for Photonic will be available for $20 during the beta period. Frequent contributors during the beta program may be eligible for free or reduced-price licenses to the product.
